Landscapes

Rock formations in Tibetan landscape painting reveals a strong influence of elements of Chinese Ming style painting with its spaciousness and natural depiction of landscape elements. The most favoured colour scheme for shading these rocks was with blue and green, the two mineral pigments derived from natural stone deposits.
